With respect to your enquiry, I can confirm that Matthew Kelly was a resident of the Archdiocese of Sydney until 1995 when he commenced theology studies in the United States.

At no time has there been any investigation by the Archdiocese, formal or informal, of claims that he has had any mystical or supernatural experiences or that the writings he has published arise from any private revelation.

The Archdiocese has not encouraged or discouraged this lay man in his work of evangelisation. While no endorsement of any apparitions is implied, Matthew is well known and respected. He is a person of good standing and conveys a message of loyalty to and love for the Church.
