Bouxieres Aux-Dames (France)
On March 11, 1936, Adeline Pietccqin, age 28, and Gabrielle Hanus, age 26, testified to an apparition of the Virgin. In July 1947, the diocesan bishop gave a negative judgement. On February 1951, Cardinal Ottaviani, assessor of the Holy Office, stated regarding these and other facts of the case, that these alleged apparitions are an "explosion of an impressive instinctive religious feeling than have no trace of the light of reason, nor the consideration of grace, without reservation or control"
